Set up a receipt or label printer on a Windows PC
Install the free NegoBill Print Utility on the PC, then Settings → Printers: it lists USB, network and Bluetooth printers of any brand. Pick the receipt printer and the label printer for this PC; every login on it prints there.
You need: A Windows PC with the printer connected by USB, network or Bluetooth
- In the web app, open Settings → Printers and press Download the print utility. Run the installer once; it stays in the tray and starts with Windows.
- Back in Settings → Printers, the utility lists the printers it found. Choose the receipt printer and its paper width (2-inch or 3-inch), and the label printer if you have one.
- Print a test from the same page.
- On the sale screen, Proceed → Print uses this PC's printer. Other PCs choose their own; the choice belongs to the PC, not the login.
Works on: the web app.
Questions people ask
My printer is not in the list.
Check the cable or the pairing, then press Refresh. A printer Windows already prints to appears under its Windows name and works through that.
Do I need the utility on every PC?
Yes, once per PC that prints. It updates itself.
What about printing from a phone?
Pair a Bluetooth receipt printer with the phone; the NegoBill app prints to it without the utility.
I use a Chromebook or a Mac.
No utility there: Settings → Printers shows Connect, and Chrome talks to the printer itself — Bluetooth or USB-serial on a Chromebook, USB too on a Mac. See 'Print from a Chromebook, Mac or Linux PC with NegoBill'.
