# Connect Claude or ChatGPT to NegoBill (the AI assistant)

> Open Menu → NegoBill Assistant in the web app (every plan), copy the address, add it as a connector in Claude or ChatGPT, sign in on the NegoBill page, choose the store, Allow. Then ask in your own words.

## Steps

1. In the web app open Menu → Business → NegoBill Assistant. The page shows the connector address — copy it. It also lists the tools open to your login; tools a higher plan opens show a lock and the plan name.
2. Claude: claude.ai → Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector → paste the address → Add → Connect. Once added on the web it works in the Claude phone apps too.
3. ChatGPT: Settings → Apps & connectors → Advanced → Developer mode → Create → name NegoBill, paste the address, authentication OAuth → Create → Connect. (Paid ChatGPT plans, on the web.)
4. A NegoBill page opens: sign in with your NegoBill email or phone and password, choose the store, press Allow.
5. Ask: "What did we sell today?" "How much does Ravi owe?" "Make a sale of 2 tempered glass for iPhone 15 Pro to Ravi, paid by UPI." The app asks you before it records anything.

## Questions

**Does Claude or ChatGPT see my password?**
No. You type it on a NegoBill page; the app receives only a token that does what your login may do.

**How do I switch it off?**
Menu → NegoBill Assistant → Connected apps → the connection → Switch off. The app stops at once.

**Can staff connect too?**
Yes, with their own login; they get only the tools their permissions allow.

**Does my plan change what it can do?**
Yes. On Starter it has sales, products, stock, contacts, the day report and payments on sales. Purchases, statements, receipts and low stock open from Plus, presets from Business. Ask for something your plan does not open and it tells you which plan does.
